Updated: Aug 18, 2021

MedEther is proud to announce the successful establishment of a comprehensive strategic collaboration with the health sector of People’s Daily, health.people.cn. The collaboration agreement was formally signed in Beijing on 2nd April 2019.

On behalf of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons as its exclusive representative in China, MedEther will be devoted to working with the health sector of People’s Daily for building an authoritative and credible platform to promote the UK-derived and internationally recognised standards for skill training, quality assurance, safety management and patient education. The two parties will also be working together on promoting the profiles of British aesthetic plastic surgeons and medical aesthetic experts in China.

The People’s Daily was established on 15 June 1948 and is the biggest newspaper group in China. The paper is an official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and is published worldwide with a circulation of 3 million. In addition to its main Chinese-language edition, it has editions in English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Tibetan, Kazakh, Uyghur, Zhuang, Mongolian, and other minority languages in China. The internet presence of People’s Daily was established in 1997 (http://www.people.com.cn/). Being the official voice of the central government of the People’s Republic of China for the last 71 years, People’s Daily has published daily issues that provide the single location for the central government and the Communist Party of China to announce their respective policies and disseminate governmental, political, and economic messages to the public and the world. This makes the People’s Daily the most influential and authoritative newspaper in China. The People’s Daily is also responsible for the publication of the Global Times and hosts the Strengthening Nation Forum on its website. Via collaboration with Tencent, the online version of People’s Daily has an audience size of at least 280 million.
